HiTechPR won the Gold Award in the "Client Product Launch" category of the 2004 International Mercury Communications Awards and two Gold Awards in the "Business Technology" and "Technology Product Launch" categories in the Bulldog Reporter PR competition. The awards, honoring "excellence in public relations and corporate communications," were for the successful launch of ColorPeakTM, a radically new television display system from Israeli startup Genoa Color Technologies.

"These awards prove that creativity and hard work are still the necessary requirements of effective marketing communications," said Mark Bruce, HiTechPR's president. "The fact that we beat out some of the largest agencies in the business is proof of that." In the Mercury Awards, Edelman, the world's largest independent public relations firm, finished second to HiTechPR for its Hershey Corporation campaign.

The Mercury Awards competition was begun in 1987 with the principal purpose of advancing the arts and sciences of communications in an international arena. Judges are from the U.S., Canada, Europe and Hong Kong. The Bulldog Reporter communications competition is the only PR industry awards program judged exclusively by journalists at the world's leading publications.
