Developer of Revolutionary Color Technology
Selects HiTechPR Rye, N.Y—May 6, 2004—Genoa Color Technologies of Herzlia, Israel, a developer of color technology for advanced television and digital displays, has selected HiTechPR as its public relations agency. Founded in 2000, Genoa has been identified by the analyst firm Dolev & Abramovich as one of the 10 most promising start-ups in Israel. Its innovative technology uses as many as six primary colors instead of the conventional red, blue and green (RGB) to effectively expand the visible color gamut (the range of colors that can be represented on a television or computer screen) from 55 percent to 95 percent, while also improving the brightness efficiency of the display. This breakthrough promises to dramatically enhance the viewing experience by delivering more vivid color and greater clarity than was ever before possible. Genoa has entered into a partnership with Royal Philips Electronics of the Netherlands to implement Genoa’s technology in a new generation Philips LCOS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) projection television. “Over the years, we’ve worked with a number of international high tech companies, but only rarely do we have the opportunity to work with a group that stands by itself on the cutting edge,” said Mark Bruce, president of HiTechPR. “Genoa is set to transform the way we watch television; that would be a significant achievement.” HiTechPR, one of the nation’s first public relations firms to exclusively service high-technology clients, specializes in computer industry and business-to-business marketing communications support including collateral, direct marketing, Web site creation, and product, corporate and investor relations.
