CD-MAX™ Named Charter Member Of Electronic Rights Management Group (ERM) Organization Formed by IIA Aims To Set and Implement Online Copyright Protection Standards Murray Hill, N.J. --October 31, 1995-- CD-MAXTM, Inc., a leading provider of copyright protection and billing services for publishers of electronic information, today announced that the Information Industry Association (IIA) has invited the company to become a charter member of the newly-formed Electronic Rights Management Group (ERM). In concert with the Copyright Clearance Center, IBM, Folio, Disclosure, Netscape, Novell, and others, CD-MAX will help ERM create shared standards for infrastructure, copyright protection and online payment mechanisms for intellectual property distributed over the Internet. The IIA hopes the result of its quest for standards will eliminate a major barrier to information access on the Internet. CD-MAX president Robert A.
