Alliance to Provide E-Commerce Solutions Strategic Internet Services Company to use BEA E-Commerce Transaction Platform to Rapidly Implement Business-Critical E-Commerce Sites

Rochester, New York -- February 22, 2000 -- At the BEA User's Conference in San Francisco this week, Questra Corporation, an Internet Systems Integration company, and BEA Systems, Inc., (Nasdaq: BEAS) the E-Commerce Transactions Company, announced an alliance to provide Internet strategy consulting, architecture, development, and integration services to customers using BEA products.

As part of this agreement, Questra will adopt the suite of BEA WebLogic® Family of application servers as a core technology in its standard application platform for building business-critical Internet applications. In doing so, Questra will use its unique Accelerate methodology to help clients rapidly build and deploy applications on the BEA E-Commerce Transaction Platform.

The two companies will work together to rapidly deliver highly reliable and scalable Internet applications to meet the expanding e-commerce needs of the e-generation. With this agreement, Questra becomes a BEA Professional Services Provider, one of a select group of systems integrators that are recognized experts in architecting and building e-commerce applications using BEA WebLogic Server and other BEA software products that are part of the BEA E-Commerce Transaction Platform.
