I.M.A.G.E. Inc. Expands Customer Base

New Clients Include Kaplan Learning Centers, Forbes and Dowling & Partners

New York, N.Y. -- January 10, 2001 --I.M.A.G.E. Inc., a New York City-based consulting and custom software development firm known for its expertise in implementing content management systems for publishing companies, has expanded its customer base to deliver these same "smart contentTM" capabilities to financial services firms, catalog companies, brick-and mortar and Web-based retailers and advertising agencies. The company has recently won new business from Kaplan Learning Centers, Forbes and Dowling & Partners.

I.M.A.G.E. Inc. pioneered the custom implementation of both the Quark Publishing System (QPS) and the Quark Digital Media System (QuarkDMS) and has specialized in providing workflow and content management solutions, training and support to major publishers such as Random House, American Express Publishing (Travel & Leisure, Food & Wine), Time Inc., Scholastic Inc. and Red Herring magazine. As the company has expanded its market base, building relationships with software developers such as Adobe Systems and BroadVision, it has attracted new business from outside the world of publishing.

"The management and transformation of content is fundamental to the many new business opportunities offered by e-commerce," said Linda Nelson, CEO of I.M.A.G.E. Inc. "Our deep knowledge of publishing business processes can help all kinds of companies maximize their investment in enterprise content management systems and enable them to quickly and easily capture creative content and transform it into flexible, digital information that can be distributed across all media."

I.M.A.G.E. Inc.'s new target customer base includes catalog, e-marketing and financial companies. Here are recent details of how the company is serving those markets, as well as its core business, publishing.

Catalog and E-Marketing
For food service equipment supplier Edward Don & Company, I.M.A.G.E. Inc. implemented QuarkDMS to enable their in-house production staff to take text and graphics material from the company's Web site or a database containing 16,000 catalog items and place it on any page of a layout. In operation just a few months, it has already cut production time considerably.

I.M.A.G.E. Inc. has brought state-of-art e-business software to Kaplan Learning Centers, one of the world's oldest and largest test preparation organizations. The company implemented BroadVision One-To-OneTM Publishing to create a repository in which text and images can be centrally stored and then directed to Web, print and wireless outlets in an XML-based, structured document format.

Financial Services
Dowling & Partners, a provider of corporate insurance company information to institutional investors, chose I.M.A.G.E. Inc. to implement BroadVision One-To-One enterpriseTM software. The result will be a data repository designed to increase workflow and efficiency in the preparation of both Dowling s flagship product, the IBNR Insurance Weekly, and the company s Web site which provides a unique end user experience through the use of BroadVision's acclaimed personalization tools.

Publishing and Advertising
T3, an advertising agency known for its integrated marketing approach for clients including Dell Computer, selected I.M.A.G.E. Inc. to customize and implement new content management technology. This marks the first time that both the QuarkDMS and QPS will be used in conjunction in the United States.

I.M.A.G.E. Inc. upgraded Forbes' QPS environment to include process automation and other system enhancements. As with all its technology solutions, the company provided onsite support and developed custom curricula for Forbes' end user and system administrator training.
